On January 24th our crew from 16-1 was toned out to Manalapan (26-2) for mutual aid to a structure fire at Ace Hardware store. Upon arrival 16-1-66 set up command and confirmed that there was a fire inside the store. 12-75(Englishtown),(Millstone) 32-90, (Monroe) Tower 57, (Manalapan) 26-2-78, (Freehold Twp. Independent Fire. Co. #1) 16-1-76, (Adelphia Fire Co)19-2-75, 26-1 (Gordons Corner Fire Co) and (Englishtown-Manalapn First Aid Squad) 26-21 responded to the scene as well. 16-1-76 arrived and hooked up to the hydrant and established a water supply quickly after arriving on scene and fed the water to 12-75. 32-90 and 12-75 stretched handlines into the building in an attempt to make a quick stop to the fire. Our crew from 16-1-76 went in and provided help with opening walls and ceiling tiles to expose the fire so a quick knock was able to be made. Overhaul was started to confirm no fire or hot spots were found. After 2 hours crews cleared from the call and no injuries were reported. We are glad we could assist our brothers and sisters over in (Manalapan Twp. Fire Co. #1) 26-2 and that no injuries were reported.
