Truck Dedication & Wetdown

Truck Dedication & Wetdown

Posted by Austin Nigrelli, Firefighter on May 6th 2021

On Saturday, July 24, 2021, Freehold Township Independent Fire Company #1 will be hosting a Truck Dedication and Wet Down in celebration of our newest addition to our fleet – Tower Ladder 16-1-90.

The truck will be celebrated in a classic wetdown celebration - A wetdown is a ritual celebrated by many volunteer fire departments in the United States in which squads of firefighters from neighboring towns ritualistically commission a new fire apparatus by anointing it with water sprayed from the visitors' firefighting equipment.

The event will start at 1pm at our District Firehouse (330 Stillwells Corner Road, Freehold NJ 07728) There will be Music entertainment, kids activities, food & beverages, and a GOLD VIP tent on site.

Limited supply of mugs and t-shirts will be sold at the event. A beer mug purchase entitles you to drink all day for one price.
